JUDGMENTAL - Although Venus hates to admit it, she can't help but give a person a once over and feel like she already knows them. She doesn't quite base her judgments on appearance alone; she isn't that shallow. Venus tends to notice small details as well as read body language; it gets to the point where it is almost creepy. Once she has categorized a person, she rarely changes her mind about how she feels about them, even when she should reconsider her judgment. She isn't even that great at judging people accurately since she is a little biased due to her experiences. People usually think there is something wrong with her because she has already decided how she feels about a person before she has actually had a conversation. It leaves people she assumes she will dislike in a very awkward situation if they ever talk to Venus as she can appear quite intimidating whens he wishes.
BLUNT - She has tried the whole 'beating around the bush' thing in the past, but she has given up on trying to be subtle. She goes in for the kill; she isn't afraid to say a lot of things most people only think in their heads for fear of getting in trouble or being rude. She has gotten into trouble for being so blunt. At the same time, she knows what she says is true which is why she has no problems saying the things she does. Venus tries to sugar coat things every once and a while, but she is still a little too blunt for most people’s tastes. Although most people avoid her, some people can appreciate the fact that she is straightforward. She sees through bullshit rather quickly and she isn't afraid to point it out. She doesn't really deal well with listening to other people beat around the bush; she might be a little bit too honest.
WITTY - It seems her mouth will be the downfall of her as it tends to get her into trouble a lot. Venus can't help but have a sarcastic tone as she doesn't deal well with people she has decided she won't like. She doesn't mean to give people her sass, but at the same time, it is a quality that people like about her since she can be quite funny with her wit. It is always very clear when she doesn't like something or someone since her wit is usually turned up around them. Despite her sarcastic tongue, she always does what she is told even if her displeasure is apparent. Mind you, she does tend to break the rules if she thinks she can get away without getting caught. It doesn't happen often, but she does get away with things mostly due to her sarcasm.
COURAGOUS - Venus' courage could be compared to a lion; she doesn't really think before acting sometimes which causes her to get into situations which easily could have been avoided. She doesn't feel fear easily and remains calm for the most part under alarming situations-she has been known to breakdown though which is scary to say the least. She has a strong sense of justice and she can't stand for anything else. She tends to jump into the fray and think only once she has processed what she is doing. Her courage can also be compared to borderline stupidity since she doesn't really even consider her options at all. She has taken a couple too many punches, but her small frame is great at moving fast. And despite her size she can throw a decent punch; a punch that has been used a little bit too much as she has become hell bent on proving not only herself but also redeeming her family name.
REALISTIC - Venus can't really lie to herself, she accepts what she feels and uses what she knows. Being realistic means she can be a bit of a downer; she knows what can and can't be done and points out the fact certain things are unachievable. For the most part she tries anyway, despite the fact she knows the outcome won't be favorable or even achievable, but she knows she will hate herself if she doesn't try. If she didn't study for a test, she isn't going to lie to herself and say she will study next time; she knows she will probably procrastinate and then be screwed for the next test. This fact doesn't stop her from cramming last minute anyway. She hates how realistic she can be, but at the same time someone has to be grounded enough to see through the whole hopes and dreams bullshit.
STUBBORN - Once Venus has made up her mind it is hard to change it. It can be anything from stupidly small things like who pushed who, or rather serious debates over morals, even her own judgments on people are hard to change. She doesn't adapt well to change within herself since she is sure somehow she will screw things up, this can be related to her childhood but she doesn't really like to think about it. She is quick to adapt in changing situations since she analyzes things quickly which gives her an edge when it matters but she has trouble judging herself and her changes. She has a hard time determining what is natural and what isn't and due to that she tends to deny that she is changing when she is in doubt. Her own confidence helps hide this insecurity from others but her anger does tend to flair when she is being challenged.
TEMPERAMENTAL - Venus is known for having a fluctuating mood, usually resulting in anger for most of the time. Little things tend to set her off, and although her sarcasm can only go so far her ever changing mood does become apparent since she can go from having a conversation with someone to having screaming match. Venus has a habit of insulting people when she is angry, and her volume slowly increases as her anger does. Although she experiences a wide variety of moods she actually likes being angry sometimes since it gives her a way to channel her energy. Her sarcastic remarks become harsher and her wit becomes full blown sass. Although Venus may be a little unemotionally unstable she manages to be aware of these changes in her mood, and if she feels like it she can kind of maintain herself to one general mood. Mind you when she is tired or drunk her mood swings can be comparable to those of a pregnant women.
VULNERABLE - Although she may try and appear tough she is just as vulnerable as any other person. She tries to hide this with her various traits but it all comes down to her in the end, no one has ever been there for Venus except her. She knows she is the only one who can solve her problems and doesn't waste her precious time waiting for someone else to accomplish anything for herself. She hates seeing weakness in herself and goes out of her way to find other people's flaws. She has grown quite the built up anger which she unleashes too quickly if anything she does comes into question. She is starting to develop a craving for a fresh start but knows it is impossible, she will always be judged by others because of things outside of her control. Her mother.

Venus' birth was an accident, it is no surprise that her mother could afford no protection against pregnancy as she was in no financial state to raise a child let alone try to be independent. At the time her mother was in desperate times for money and had declared herself a masseuse, easing stress from people with her hands. It didn't take long for money to run out, that is until instead of running a massage service she started to service costumers. Venus doesn't really know who her father was, she still has the Summer family name although half of her appearance is thanks to one of her mothers clients. Her mother was not expecting such a child, even as a young infant Venus was left to fend for herself since a child would interfere with her mothers business. It was two years later that Venus was blessed with a sister. You two year old was strong, already growing independent from neglect, another child only making financial matters harder for her mother. Venus was forced to grow up quickly, she either grew up or died.[/blockquote]
Venus was strong not only for herself but also for her little sister as they were both now on their own for a majority of their childhood. Venus was four when her mother had yet another child. It was also when Venus turned four that she started to provide for her sisters. Her mother was dead to the three of them, her neglect not only making them weak but also making them vulnerable. Venus began stealing for food before her first day of school. The only way she could ensure that her sisters would not starve or die from malnutrition was to bring in the food that they required.
At first Venus was horrible at it, not only was she scavenging through other house's trash bins, taking scraps from the market vendors without them knowing and even resorting to begging. The first couples months were hard since everyone in the west end were in the same financial situation. As a child there wasn't one single night where Venus didn't go to bed hungry, some nights not even eating because there was not enough food for her sisters. Venus didn't care as long as they got through this. Her mother remained oblivious, too occupied with her business to have time to care for her own children.
School was hard for Venus since the whole neighborhood knew of her mother's career choice. It also meant that the whole neighborhood knew that Venus was a bastard, any man on the street could be her father. She excelled at anything that involved any sort of logic since she had quite the heavy head that it made sense to her. She had discovered more about herself at school if anything. Companionship was a waste of time, time a luxury the Venus would never waste. She became adapt at social situations, just saying enough to leave her alone but enough so people would like her. She had no idea why buts he felt the need for people to like her, somehow she had to stop the looks her family received from passing strangers.
School was never easy for Venus but she knew it would get her somewhere in life away from her mother and away from the looks she received from passing people. As the years went by her mother seemed to only acknowledge her daughters when arguments broke out between her mother and her clients. She would excuse herself to take care of her children so she would not be harmed. It didn't take long for visitors to start taking interest in the daughters. It was when Venus was ten that she was almost raped. The only reason she wasn't was because the man was far too drunk to actually get it up. From that moment on she was determined never to be weaker than anyone. Everyday she would do as many push ups as she was capable of and ran around the block as many times as she could before going to sleep. When she was twelve another one of her mothers clients was interested in Venus but she punched him so hard in his face that she chipped one of his teeth.
When Venus went to high school she was determined to get out of her house, she liked maths and science and decided that she would actually make something of her life. She didn't really make many friends but she found herself liking the presence of a couple close friends. She knew she wasn't friend material but she went along with it, she doesn't depend on anyone but she loves the feeling of people depending on her. After graduating she got a huge scholarship to attend the New York University. She picked up a summer job at the planetarium where she helps make star maps. She knows nothing about the stars but she tries her best anyway, her boss seems to have the patience of a saint.
